Al-Iqtishad wal Mashlahah: Journal of Islamic Economics and Business is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by Yayasan Abdurrauf Cendekia Nusantara, Aceh, Indonesia. The journal is managed and hosted on the Abdurrauf Institute Journal Platform (https://journal.abdurraufinstitute.org), which serves solely as its online publishing platform and domain identity. Abdurrauf Institute is not a university, college, or higher education institution, and does not function as the journal publisher.

First launched in November 2025, the journal is issued twice a year, in November and May, and serves as an academic platform for researchers, scholars, practitioners, and the wider public with a strong interest in the intellectual development of Islamic Economics, Islamic Business, as well as Islamic Banking and Finance.

The journal welcomes a wide range of methodological approaches—quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods—in exploring contemporary issues, theoretical debates, and practical challenges within the fields of Islamic economics and business. It accepts submissions from both Muslim-majority and non-Muslim countries, particularly those in which Islamic economic principles are practiced, examined, or integrated into public and private sector activities.

What distinguishes Al-Iqtishad wal Mashlahah from other journals in the discipline is its strong emphasis on interdisciplinary perspectives, integrating insights from economics, finance, business, and ethics within the framework of Maqasid al-Shariah (the objectives of Islamic law). The journal not only provides space for empirical studies but also encourages the development of new conceptual models and contemporary Islamic economic thought, particularly those contributing to sustainability, digital transformation, and inclusive development. It actively involves international scholars as editors and reviewers to ensure the global relevance and academic rigor of its publications.
