Analisis Kualitatif Terhadap Pandangan Kumaila Tentang Konsumsi Daging Babi dalam Diskursus Islam Perspektif Ulama Tradisional

This research discusses issues related to the controversy over the law of consuming pork in Islam, triggered by Kumaila's views in a YouTube video, which has caused debate among the public and necessitates an in-depth analysis to understand Kumaila's arguments. The purpose of this research is to criticize scientific arguments related to the law of consuming pork in Islam and analyze Kumaila's views on pork through the video "The Influence of Environment on Cultural Formation". The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the content analysis method, where analysis steps are carried out objectively and systematically to identify specific characteristics of Kumaila's views. The results show that Kumaila argues the reason for the prohibition of pork is not solely due to health issues, but rather because of the geographical conditions in the Middle East that are dry and water-scarce. Kumaila also criticizes the views of scholars who forbid pork for health reasons and argues that the law of consuming pork needs to be considered in the historical, cultural, and religious context of the modern era. The implications of this research are to provide a more comprehensive understanding of Kumaila's arguments regarding the law of consuming pork and open a discussion on the reinterpretation of religious law in the modern context, serving as a reference for the public and scholars to understand this controversial issue from various perspectives.
Abstrak: Penelitian ini membahas permasalahan terkait kontroversi hukum mengonsumsi daging babi dalam Islam, yang dipicu oleh pandangan Kumaila dalam video YouTube. Pandangan ini menimbulkan perdebatan di kalangan masyarakat, sehingga perlu dilakukan analisis mendalam untuk memahami argumentasi Kumaila. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkritisi argumen ilmiah terkait hukum mengonsumsi daging babi dalam Islam dan menganalisis pandangan Kumaila tentang babi melalui video "Pengaruh Lingkungan Terhadap Pembentukan Budaya". Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode analisis konten. Langkah-langkah analisis dilakukan secara objektif dan sistematik untuk mengidentifikasi karakteristik khusus dari pandangan Kumaila. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kumaila berpendapat bahwa alasan diharamkannya daging babi bukan semata-mata karena masalah kesehatan, melainkan karena kondisi geografis di Timur Tengah yang kering dan langka air. Kumaila juga mengkritisi pandangan ulama yang mengharamkan daging babi karena alasan kesehatan dan berargumentasi bahwa hukum mengonsumsi daging babi perlu dipertimbangkan dalam konteks historis, budaya, dan agama di era modern. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah memberikan pemahaman yang lebih komprehensif tentang argumentasi Kumaila terkait hukum mengonsumsi daging babi dan membuka diskusi tentang reinterpretasi hukum agama dalam konteks modern. Penelitian ini juga dapat menjadi referensi bagi masyarakat dan ulama untuk memahami isu kontroversial ini dari berbagai perspektif.
