Peran Media Sosial dalam Mobilisasi Politik Generasi Muda Pasca-Reformasi

Peran media sosial dalam mobilisasi politik generasi muda pasca-reformasi di Indonesia semakin signifikan seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi komunikasi digital. Studi ini menganalisis bagaimana media sosial digunakan sebagai alat strategis dalam meningkatkan kesadaran dan partisipasi politik generasi muda, sekaligus mengidentifikasi tantangan dan risiko yang menyertainya, seperti penyebaran hoaks, polarisasi, dan keterbatasan akses digital. Metode penelitian kualitatif dengan studi pustaka digunakan untuk memahami dinamika mobilisasi politik melalui kampanye digital, hashtag, viral challenge, dan grup diskusi online. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa media sosial tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai ruang pemberdayaan politik tetapi juga menjadi arena potensi manipulasi yang dapat mengancam kualitas demokrasi. Implikasi penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya literasi digital politik dan pengembangan kebijakan yang mendukung partisipasi politik digital yang sehat. Rekomendasi meliputi penguatan pendidikan politik berbasis media sosial serta penelitian lanjutan untuk mengamati perubahan peran media sosial dalam konteks yang lebih luas dan komparatif.
