Journal of Contemporary Fiqh is an international peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing scholarly research in Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) in response to contemporary global challenges. The journal promotes critical, contextual, and interdisciplinary approaches that bridge classical Islamic legal heritage (turath) with modern societal developments.

Scope

The journal encompasses, but is not limited to, the following areas:

Critical Fiqh and Legal Theory
Reinterpretations of usul al-fiqh, maqasid al-sharia, and Islamic legal epistemology by employing critical legal theory, post-positivist approaches, and decolonial perspectives.
