About the Journal

Khazanah: Journal of Religious and Social Scientific is a high-quality, peer-reviewed, open-access research journal published by Yayasan Abdurrauf Cendekia Nusantara, based in Singkil, Aceh, Indonesia. This journal regularly publishes scholarly articles and research reports three times a year—in March, July, and November.

The name "Khazanah" is derived from the Arabic term, meaning "treasury" or "repository of knowledge." This name reflects the journal’s mission as an academic platform that collects, preserves, and advances the intellectual heritage in the fields of religious and social studies. The journal not only focuses on normative religious thought but also examines the social, cultural, and communal dynamics that intertwine with religious values.

As an international academic platform, Khazanah encourages interdisciplinary approaches in every publication and critically engages with a wide range of topics, including but not limited to: interfaith studies, religious studies, cultural anthropology, intercultural and comparative theology, law, economics, humanities and cultural studies, politics, and the dynamic interaction between secularism and religion. With an open and progressive scientific spirit, this journal aims to enrich the treasury of contextual, relevant, and solution-oriented Islamic and social knowledge for contemporary society. Despite its broad scope, novelty and originality of issues remain the top priorities in its publication process.
