However, the fulfillment of this obligation is hindered when the husband is detained due to restrictions on personal freedom, loss of income, and limited access to his family. This study employs an empirical legal research method with a sociological approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, documentation, and library research, and were analyzed descriptively using a qualitative approach based on the concepts of <em>nafkah</em> in Islamic jurisprudence (<em>fiqh</em>) and the Indonesian Compilation of Islamic Law . The findings indicate that, from the perspectives of both <em>fiqh</em> and the Compilation of Islamic Law, the fulfillment of a detained husband's maintenance obligations has not been fully achieved in either detention center. According to both perspectives, the obligation to provide maintenance remains attached to the husband despite his detention.
